Kieran Hogarth (Pe, 2019-2021)

Kieran is currently at Chicago State University. He recently earned medalist honours at the SAS Championship DI HBCU Invitational, becoming the second Chicago State golfer to win, set a new low scoring record for the University, and was presented his title alongside former World Number 1 golfer, Fred Cousins. On his first US title and how Rossall prepared him, Kieran said:

It is a great feeling to finally get my first college win, quite early on in to my college career too. A couple of good results last season helped with my confidence, turning into a couple of great results earlier this year. Now to finally get one over the line is a great feeling.

Being announced as the winner on the 18th green with Fred Couples was something I won’t forget in a hurry and an experience I will carry with me for a long time.

Being in the competitive environment of the Golf Academy for the two years I was there - nothing can compare you for top level golf like that. We had great coaching from Stuart Hemmings and Beth Senior, teaching us how to get the best results.
Another thing, the diversity and cultures you meet and interact with at Rossall, you spend every day with friends from different backgrounds, all with different stories - it’s just like you get in the US Universities. Rossall taught me to make friends, put myself out there - I don’t shy away from anything, I’m already comfortable meeting new people from completely different walks of life - I feel like that was the best experience to prepare me for the future.
