What is The Rossall Foundation?

The Rossall Foundation is a registered charity and its purpose is to raise funds to assist the School’s development. Rossall School is grateful to the many generous benefactors since its existence. The support received has enabled the School to improve and create fantastic facilities and enhanced opportunities for current and future Rossallians from all backgrounds.

The School would simply not be what it is today without you.

The School, with the support of the Foundation, has added an impressive array of buildings to the campus over the last few years (Golf Academy, Performing Arts Studio, Sports Centre) and also funded the refurbishment of the Dining Hall.

The Capital Project Fund allows us to work with the School on such projects. Rossall is fortunate to possess so many iconic buildings but their upkeep comes at a cost.

The Science Block is one of these buildings that is in need of refurbishment. It has probably not changed much since you were at Rossall and it would be fantastic if the Foundation could look towards financing three brand new state of the art Laboratories.

A ‘one off gift’ to the Capital Project Fund would make a huge difference to helping the education of our aspiring Scientists!

Widening Access, enabling opportunities.

A Rossall ‘Changing Lives’ Bursary provides means-tested bursaries, allowing a child to benefit from a Rossall Education which they otherwise would not be able to afford.

It is very important that Rossall is supporting the local community in ensuring bright, talented and ambitious children can be supported with a Rossall education. It is truly life-changing.

Rossall Alumni have been supporting local pupils in this way since the School was founded and it is very important we continue to support local children in this way.

Many of you reading this will personally understand how important this is and how life-changing it is to be able to enjoy the opportunities, teaching and support at Rossall. Help us change more lives! CLICK HERE to complete the online gift form or CLICK HERE to download a hard copy.

The Annual Appeal offers ORs and Parents the opportunity to contribute to projects and aspects of education which cannot be funded through the fees but will bring an immediate beneficial effect to school life.

The School’s aim is to provide outstanding facilities to enable the school to continue to provide the academic, sporting and cultural education that it does. But as in all walks of life, the finishing touches are so important. In the recent past, the Annual Fund has provided a weather station, Science equipment, defibrillators for the campus and essential Golf equipment for the Academy. All these items have been greatly received by the pupils and staff.

It’s all about making a difference now. The school has changed over the years but some things never change and that hopefully includes the generous support of those who have benefited from what Rossall offers.

Since 1844, Rossall has been committed to helping young people grow intellectually, culturally, socially and emotionally. This is why so many Rossallians have made such positive contributions to the societies within which they live and work. This community is one rooted in tradition and generosity has always been at the heart of our collective character and culture.

A tradition of benefaction among Old Rossallians enables the School to fulfil its goals. Rossall is indebted to many benefactors, through whose generosity over the years the school has continued to flourish

The Legacy Studio. If you are considering leaving a Legacy to Rossall why not contact Tony Carter (Pelican 1972-77) who runs the Legacy Studio. Tony has very kindly agreed to offer a Free Wills Service to any OR leaving a Legacy to the School.

Should you already have a Will in place, he would be happy to discuss the provision of a Codicil, so you could add a bequest to your Will, and again all free of charge.
