Recent Visits

John and Nick Fletcher SE (44-49) & (An 74-77) A retired Electrical Engineer, visited with his daughter Siobhan, wife Mildred, and son Nick, also an OR. They have travelled from Northern Ireland, where they reside. They found 3 photos in the Vestry of John in the Choir in 1954, 1956 and 1957.

Neville Sheard (MF 49-53) Neville was delighted to visit the school again after many years and enjoyed seeing how much had changed. By chance he met the Headmaster Mr Quartermain on the tour.

Michael Openshaw (DC 45-49) Michael, who resides in Hampshire, had not been back to Rossall for around 50 years and was really pleased to be able to make a visit whilst visiting family and friends to celebrate his Birthday. Michael was keen to see the Sports Centre which he was very impressed with. 

John and Antony Darbyshire (J & M 49-56) & (An 84-87) John visited with his son Antony, also an OR. They have wonderful memories of Rossall School and thoroughly enjoyed their visit.  

Robin Heaton (SE 63-67) visited with his sister Pamela Baker.

Felix Wong (PE 15-18) Currently studying in Newcastle, visited with his family who came to visit him from Hong Kong and wanted to show his parents Rossall School, in particular Pelican.

Matthew Holt (JS & R 75-86) visited with his Children, from LA, California.  Matthew wanted to show his children Rossall School, which brought back a lot of memories

Christopher Walker (JS & F 69-70) visited with his wife.

Christine Preston, Governor, James Preston, an OR (JS & MF 93-04) and Matthias Stuttgens, also an OR (MF 03-05) visited the School.

Kiersten Rossborough daughter of OR Charles Gordon Dean (A 55-57) visited with her aunty Tricia Savage and uncle Tony Savage.. The planned journey involved visiting the School where her father studied.  

Philip Key (MF 91-96) visited with his family.

Jennifer Price (nee Howard) (JS & R 85-94) Visited with her husband Ian Price and family. 

David William Flinn (DC 63-67) visited with his wife Rachel Flinn from Hillsborough, Northern Ireland. 

Samuel Moore (Pe 20-05) visited and thoroughly enjoyed his Tour which brought back a lot of memories.

David Crye (JS & Fn 70-79) visited on 10th November. It was good to hear about the work that David had done on the Cricket board at school previously. 

Oliver Bee (R 83-88) visited with his partner Jo Matthan and Tim Thomas also an OR (J & MC 81-88) with his wife Kate and their children.

Valeriya Taylor (R 2010-14) visited Rossall and her brother who toured her with her husband Trip.

Ken Powell (J 1943-45) visited Rossall with his sons Jim and Richard and Jim's partner Sally.

Thomas Schneider (SE 1998-00) and wife Julia visited Rossall.

Geoff Levine (SE 1974-79) and son Zak visited Rossall all the way from Canberra, Australia.

John Watson (M 1969-73) visited Rossall with his partner Carol Sage.

Malcolm Bowden (DC 1951-54) visited Rossall with his friends Phil and Val Dutton and Maura Mulligan.

Michael Pollitt (M 1947-56) visited Rossall in May 2023.

Peter Jenkins (M 1964-68) thoroughly enjoyed his tour around Rossall.

Timmy Yuen (MC 1986-88) and his wife Miranda visited Rossall while travelling from Hong Kong.

Maximillian Thyssen (MC & A 1995-97) visited Rossall with his family.

Andrew Bell (SE 1984-91) and his family were welcomed to Rossall 33 years after he left.

Nicky Chong (Pe 2017-19) and his partner Jake visited Rossall to meet former teachers and have a look how the school has developed in the four years since he was last here.

Richard Elliott (Pe 1977-82) and his wife Ruth visited Rossall on Richard's birthday.

Marcus Lam (MC 2001-03) visited Rossall with his family who thoroughly enjoyed his visit.

Tony Jones (SE 1987-95) was welcomed to Rossall 30 years after he left. Tony had the opportunity to watch his children play sport here in a fixture against Rossall and also had a tour of the campus whilst here.

Mark Hopwood (Fn 1969-78) and his wife Mei Ling Yeo visited Rossall 46 years after he left.

Tim Kershaw (SE 1999-05) tied in a visit to Rossall with a trip to Scotland.

In June 2024, Fikri Toros (MC, 1977- 81) and his wife Beril visited Rossall over 40 years after he left.  Fikri tied in a tour of Rossall during his visit to the UK.   

Meng Ting Lai (D, 2016-19) visited Rossall to see how the school had developed over the last few years. Meng Ting visited Rossall from Leicester University and before she travelled back to her country.
