Ambassadors

We are very proud to introduce our Rossallian Club Ambassadors. The role of an Old Rossallian Ambassador is key to the future growth and continuity of the Rossallian Club. The aim of an OR Ambassador is to utilise current networks and spread the word regarding events through a variety of channels. We are always looking for new Ambassadors. Chris Eccles (M, 1968-75)

Chris Eccles began his Rossall journey in 1968, residing in James House and later Mitre until 1975. Transitioning from Rossall, he pursued accounting, eventually specialising in IT for the construction sector, becoming the UK's leading software consultant. Married to Stella for 46 years, they have resided in Hambleton since September 2022.

Dr Tario Ahlers (Pe 2007-09)

Dr. Tario Ahlers based in Hannover, Germany, works for Vodafone. He attended Pelican house at Rossall from 2007 to 2009.

Jon Wrennall (Pe (1982-89)

Jon Wrennall an alumni of Rossall in Osborne ('82-'83) and Pelican ('84-'89), transitioned from music pursuits to tech. After studying Computer Science at Manchester Uni, he worked at BAe, then Andersen/Accenture for 11 years. He served as CTO for multiple firms, including HMRC's first. Post-2019, he's focused on a portfolio career while enjoying semi-retirement and music. He lives in Great Missenden, Bucks, and is married with two teenagers.

Lauren Stephens (Pu 2009-16)

Lauren Stephens, who was in Puffin House and is from Thornton, relocated to Berlin after her A Levels. In 2019, she embarked on making musical theatre accessible in Berlin, juggling roles from production to choreography. By day, she works in Pharmaceutical Market Research, wishing for spontaneous song and dance from colleagues!

Marie Melsheimer (R, 2019-22)

Marie Melsheimer, originally from Munich, Germany, cherished her time in Rose House at Rossall from 2019 to 2022. Now part of the Old Rossallian Community, she's pursuing Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) at the University of Southampton.

Mike Davies (F, 1959-64)

Mike Davies attended Rossall from '59 to '64 in Fleur de Lys (formerly Fallons), excelling in rugby and athletics, earning school colours. He served as a school monitor in '63/'64. Mike spent 25+ years abroad, specialising in HR with tech companies. He now splits his time between Hertfordshire, Spain, and Austria.

Neil Hunter (Fn, 1983-90)

Neil Hunter graduated from Rossall in 1990, he went on to study Mechanical Engineering, then joined Bowers & Wilkins. Since 2001, he has worked at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood. Neil resides on the South Coast and is married with a son. He enjoys music, hi-fi, and watching MotoGP.

Tim Gartside (Fn, 1970-83)

Tim Gartside from Poulton-le-Fylde attended Rossall (1970-1983), progressing through Pre Prep to Senior School in Falcon House. He holds a BA in Graphic Design/Advertising and has been a professional photographer for over 30 years, authoring four photography books and contributing to magazines. He is a father and lifelong friend-maker at Rossall.

Tom Moses (MC, 1963-70)

Tom Moses attended Rossall in James House and Maltese Cross from '63 to '70. He was active in sports, playing 1st XV Rugby, 1st XI Hockey, and 2nd XI Cricket. He was also lead singer in Draft Basse. Tom studied at Trent University, excelling in grocery trade before moving to the health sector. He owns a brokerage business and is married with four children, six grandchildren, and a dog.

Valeriya Taylor (R,2010-14)

Valeriya Taylor, originally from Ukraine and now in Kitty Hawk, USA, studies Aerospace Engineering at North Carolina State University. Her varied background ranges from marine electrician work on private yachts to research on the Multi-terrain Arctic Explorer under guidance of Dr. Mazzoleni. She was in Rose House from 2010-2014.

Kai Wagner (SE, 2019-23)

Kai Wagner, originally from Germany, studied at Rossall from 2019 until 2023, during this time he served as Deputy School Captain as well as House Captain of Spread Eagle House. He is currently following his passion for Physics and Mathematics by pursuing a degree in Theoretical Physics at UCL.

Hannah Preston (Wr 2021-2023)


Hannah Preston, born in Fleetwood and a keen sailor at Bassenthwaite Lake. Currently studying a Bachelors degree in Physics at University College London. She attended Rossall for sixth from in 2021-2023 and was a proud member of wren house and Farrell society with a year in the CCF Navy.

Joe Davies (SE, 2016-2023)

Joe Davies, From Thornton-Cleveleys attended Rossall from 2016 to 2023 in Dragon and then Spread Eagle House. He served as School Captain and Choir Captain for 2023 and during his time at Rossall developed a passion for Politics as well asMusic both of which he is involved in during his spare time. Upon leaving Rossall he embarked on a career with BAE Systems studying a Degree Apprenticeship in Project Management/ Control in partnership with Lancaster University.
