Rossall School is proud to celebrate the achievements of former pupil Téo Beaumé (MF, 2008-18), whose early career in film music is already gathering impressive momentum.

Téo has recently worked as Assistant Composer on Hamlet, a contemporary film adaptation of Shakespeare’s play, set in London and starring Riz Ahmed. The film is due for release soon and represents an exciting milestone in Téo’s developing career.

Alongside this, Téo has just completed work as Music Editor on Straight Circle, a film which went on to win Critics’ Week Best Film at the Venice Film Festival, a remarkable achievement for a young creative at the start of his professional journey.

Having recently moved to London to pursue new opportunities and expand his industry connections, Téo continues to build an impressive body of work across film and music.

Reflecting on the impact of Rossall on Téo’s journey, his mother Julie said: “Choosing Rossall was a significant commitment for us, but it quickly proved to be the right decision. Rossall gave Téo the freedom, encouragement, and belief to pursue his musical passion independently. It gave him confidence, discipline, a strong sense of respect for others and for his craft, and a genuine love of learning that continues to shape him today.”

We are delighted to share Téo’s success with the Rossall community and look forward to seeing where his talent takes him next.
