OR Afternoon Tea Party

The atmosphere was vibrant and friendly at our Old Rossallian’s Afternoon Tea Party at the Buck Inn, Thornton Watlass. 21 OR’s joined together to connect, reminisce and meet their friends and fellow Old Rosallians.

People took to their tables and the chatter got more enthusiastic as people recalled their Rossall stories, friendships were made and networks strengthened. The venue was perfect for the event and the selection of savoury and sweet stands made for some flavoursome smells and tastes around the room.

The event finished with a question and answer session hosted by Ian Preston, Secretary of the Rossallian club. Emma Johnson, Director of the Rossall Foundation, Joe Davies, last year's School Captain and Lisa Squire, Foundation and Alumni Assistant took questions from the room. The weather was beautiful for the event and we were able to enjoy the weather in the outside seating area.

Here are some thoughts from the day from some of the OR guests who attended:

Alan & Jan Priest

“We have not been to one of these events since before Covid but as it was a local event we wanted to attend. It has been fabulous to catch up with people from my contemporary times and see some old faces but also some new ones too. It has been very well organised and a well run day”

Alan Godfrey

“This is the first one I have been to for a few years. I have found it thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable. There was nobody there that I personally knew but the connections and links were still there that led me to make new friends”
