Old Rossallian Visitors to Rossall School

Fletcher Family John and Nick Fletcher  (SE 44-49) & (An 74-77) Left to right John, a retired Electrical Engineer, visited with his daughter Siobhan a Teacher of disabled children, wife Mildred, a retired Nurse, and son Nick also an OR, a Civil Engineer. John has 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. They travelled from Northern Ireland, where they reside. They love the outdoors and spend most of the summer in Downings, County Donegal. They have fond memories of their time at Rossall and during their visit which they thoroughly enjoyed they met with Reverend John Hall at the Chapel, and a short time later they found 3 photos in the Vestry of John in the Choir in 1954, 1956 and 1957, this was the highlight of their trip - click here for image

Neville Sheard (MF 49-53) Enjoyed his visit as it had been quite some time since he was last at Rossall

Michael Openshaw (DC 45-49) Michael, who resides in Hampshire, had not been back to Rossall for around 50 years and was really pleased to be able to make a visit whilst visiting family and friends. Michael was keen to see the Sports Centre which he was very impressed with.  Michael had noticed there had been some changes to the Houses from when he was last at Rossall.

John and Antony Darbyshire (J & M 49-56) & (An 84-87) John visited with his son Antony also an OR. They have wonderful memories of Rossall School and thoroughly enjoyed their visit.  

Robin Heaton (SE 63-67) visited with his sister Pamela Baker

Felix Wong (PE 15-18) Currently studying in Newcastle, visited with his family who came to visit him from Hong Kong and Felix wanted show his parents Rossall School, in particular Pelican, which they all thoroughly enjoyed and took plenty of photographs

Matthew Holt (JS & R 75-86) visited with his children, from Los Angeles, California.  Matthew wanted to show his children Rossall School, which they thoroughly enjoyed and brought back a lot of memories for Matthew

Christopher Walker (JS & F 69-70) visited with his wife

Christine Preston, Governor, Son, James Preston, an OR (JS & MF 93-04) and Matthias Stuttgens, also an OR (MF 03-05) visited Rossall School and enjoyed their Tour

Kiersten Rossborough daughter of OR Charles Gordon Dean (A 55-57) visited from South Carolina. The planned journey was made specially to visit Rossall School where her father studied.  It meant a lot to Kiersten to have a Tour of the School and in particular to see Anchor House (now SE). It also meant a lot to Charles’ sister Tricia Savage who also came along with her husband Tony Savage who lived locally. - click here for image

Jennifer Price (nee Howard) JS & R 85-94) visited with her husband Ian Price and family. 
“My memories of Rossall are very fond.  I enjoyed every moment whilst experiencing so many different things with friends and my then family.  It was wonderful to come back to show my children and surprised that so little has changed”

David William Flinn (DC 63-67) visited with his wife Rachel Flinn from Hillsborough, Northern Ireland. 

Samuel Moore (Pe 20-05) visited and thoroughly enjoyed his Tour which brought back a lot of memories

Oliver Bee (R 83-88) visited with his partner Jo Matthan and Tim Thomas also an OR (J & MC 81-88) with his wife Kate and their children
